Florida doesn’t have the iconic white Christmas we all dream about, but what they lack in sweater weather they make up for in festive events.
Tampa started their holiday festivities long before December arrived and they still have many more to come. If you’re in the Tampa area, get out and join your community in the holiday fun!

1. Christmas Town at Busch Gardens
Nothing gets the family into the holiday spirit like a visit to Christmas Town. Enjoy lights, carols, holiday shopping, and shows. Admission is available through general admission November 19 through December 31.
2. Holiday Light Limo Tours
Enjoy the festive lights around Tampa Bay from the comfort of a luxury limo this holiday season.
Reservations can be made December 1-29 at Showtime Transportation.
3. Christmas in the Wild
Join the holiday cheer at the Tampa Lawry Park Zoo Christmas in the Wild. Enjoy a visit from Santa, yummy treats, a 50-foot animated Christmas tree, and the opportunity to see the zoo’s wildlife at night.
Available dates are December 15-17, 21-23, and 26-30. Admission is free for zoo members and ranges anywhere from $24.95 to $169 for non-members.
4. Winter Village at Curtis Hixon Park
Head on down to Curtis Hixon Park to enjoy ice skating, the village cafe, holiday shops, and free movie screenings.
The Winter Village is open November 17 through January 5. Ice skating rink admission and rental available for purchase.

The Winter Village at Curtis Hixon Park is offering free movie screenings during the month of December.

6. Christmas at Old McMicky’s Farm
Visit Old McMicky’s Farm to enjoy some festive family fun. Your family can get photos with Santa, pet the “North Ponies,” decorate cookies, play in the barn maze, toast marshmallows, and more!
Christmas at Old McMicky’s Farm is open December 14 and 15 from 6-9 p.m.
7. 13 Ugly Sweater Festival
The 13 Ugly Men group is hosting the 2nd annual 13 Ugly Sweater Party at the Hall on Franklin. This is an age 21 and over event to get out and enjoy your favorite holiday drinks, a visit from Santa, and other Winter Wonderland surprises.
The event is December 15 at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $25 and all proceeds will be donated to local charities.
8. 93.3 FLZ Jingle Ball
Join Tampa’s number one hit music station for its annual 93.3 FLZ Jingle Ball. Featured artists include: Zedd, Nick Jonas, Charlie Puth, Camila Cabella, Liam Payne, All Time Low, Why Don’t We, and more.
Concert will be held at the AMALIE Arena on December 17 at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $26.
9. Tampa Hot Chocolate 15k and 5k Road Race
Join the Ram Racing Series and help raise money for Make-A-Wish by running in the Tampa Hot Chocolate 15k and 5k Road Race. All participants will receive a pullover and can enjoy sweet treats along the road and celebrate after they complete the race, and all 15k finishers will receive the Hot Chocolate Tampa medal to commemorate their accomplishment.
The race will start December 17 at the Tampa Convention Center. The 5k starts at 7 a.m. and tickets are $54. The 15k starts at 7:45 a.m. and tickets are $79.
10. Next Generation Ballet’s Nutcracker
Get the whole family together to appreciate the beauty of the Next Generation Ballet’s Nutcracker. The show features internationally renowned dancers and brings to life your favorite holiday toys and, of course, sugar plum fairies.
The event is December 21-23 at 2 and 7 p.m. at the Carol Morsani Hall. Tickets start at $30.
11. 9th Annual Black & White New Year’s Eve
Get all your friends together and head over to The Hyde Out for the 9th Annual Black & White New Year’s Eve party. The event includes red carpet paparazzi entry, door gifts, prizes, champagne fountain, midnight balloon drop, and champagne toast.
The event will take place at The Hyde Out December 31 from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. Tickets start at $15.
12. NYE Wrap Party 2017
If champagne and glitz aren't your style, join the Tampa Theater 2nd annual NYE Wrap Party. Come dressed in Back to the Future inspired costumes and enjoy hors d'oeuvres, desserts, an open beer and wine bar, and be one of the first to see the newly restored theater.
The party will be at the Tampa Theater on December 31 at 9 p.m. Tickets are $99 for the general public and $89 for theater members.
13. New Years Eve 2018 at Topgolf
Ring in the New Year at Topgolf Tampa with live music, a chef-inspired menu, and a midnight celebration.
Reservations range from $225 to $450 on December 31 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
14. Outback Bowl New Year’s Eve Parade
Enjoy New Year’s Eve in Ybor City for the Outback Bowl Parade and pep rally. The parade will feature marching bands, floats, and cheerleaders.
This event is completely free for the whole family. The parade starts at 5:30 and runs along 7th Avenue.
15. Three Kings Celebration
Busch Gardens tells the story of the journey to Bethlehem with the Three Kings Celebration. The event features authentic Latin traditions, live entertainment, and beautiful lights.
Guests are invited to take photos with the three wise men and camels. There will also be a meet and greet with friends from Sesame Street. The celebration will take place January 1-6.
